Facility Overview:
The Suffield, CT facility, which opened in 1965, manufactures and distributes ice cream and frozen desert products throughout New England, New York, and regional points along the East Coast.
Position Overview:
Responsible for direct and indirect parts and materials inventory, including planning, procurement, inventory, and payment.
Provide support to production inventory control by assisting in all phases of the material requirement process.
Job
Responsibilities:
Maintain maintenance parts inventory to assure stocking levels are sufficient to meet Maintenance and Production demands.
Establish lead-time data of inventory and perform lead-time tracking of parts, as needed; Solicit quotes, place orders and prepare invoices for payments in a timely manner and ensure proper coding in accordance with company policies; Plan, organize and schedule work flow including corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance work, project support and normal operations tasks to meet priority demands, and long and short-term projects; Coordinate with vendor contractors Assist in establishing time standards for work performed, as needed; Determines the scope of work requests including clarification of the originator's intent and assigning appropriate priority to facilitate effective deployment of resources; Follow-up, problem-solve, trouble-shoot processes, communicating scheduling information and status of maintenance work issues with maintenance staff and other departments' management; Monitor, track, review, and analyze open work orders and work order aging for assigned maintenance groups; Provide work order performance data to the Maintenance team regularly; Utilize and maintain Computerized Maintenance Management System for plant's asset, work orders, procurement, and spare parts management on SAP.
Enter, manipulate, analyze and extract data using SAP; Develop and maintain PM tasks lists, standard work and standard operating procedures, as needed; Work effectively as part of a team and display a positive attitude; Other duties as assigned.

SQF Requirements/
Responsibilities:
Support SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner following prescribed procedures; Report food safety problems to a supervisor or manager.
Education and
Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to work independently and within a group/team atmosphere.
SAP and/or PRS experience preferred.
Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook experience.
Ability to professionally and effectively communicate regularly with customers both internally (all administrative offices) contractors and vendors.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with little direct supervision.
